Kim Willett, MSW
My therapy approach is built on two beliefs- people are amazingly resilient and there is always hope. I work with clients facing a variety of challenges to help them build on their strengths. Together we focus on developing new thinking patterns that will lead to the desired behavioral changes. My professional background includes working with children, adolescents, adults and families in both the inpatient and community settings. I have assisted clients facing a variety of issues including mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, substance abuse and serious mental illnesses. Therapeutic rapport is essential and very important to me, and I approach each client with a caring, supportive attitude.
I graduated from William and Mary with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have been blessed to have amazing mentors who guided my training and shaped my skills along the way.
Outside of work, I married to my high school sweetheart, and we have three wonderful children who we homeschooled for 19 years. My Christian faith centers me and can be used in the therapeutic relationship with clients who share my faith.
I accept self-pay clients at this time.
