Mindfulness is the state of being more aware of your senses and surroundings. It is the practice of being more present in the moment, acknowledging how you feel and igniting your ability to accept those thoughts and feelings it in the moment. Mindfulness is bringing awareness to your thoughts and feelings without judgement.
Try taking a few minutes each day to be mindful and focus on breathing, listening, appreciating, feeling, connecting and being present.
With practice and positivity we can choose how we view and react to things. We want to acknowledge how we feel but try to take any negativity and let those thoughts pass. It can be all consuming to think about how to achieve more, do more, judge ourselves more and wonder if we are making the right decisions. Being mindful helps us to slow down and see things for as they are in the moment instead of always wanting more and needing more.
