Welcome! It is my belief that it is normal in our lives to feel conflict, sadness, anger, or distress. It’s when these feelings and behaviors start to impact our lives in a negative way that we may need extra support in sorting through what it means. Counseling is not about me telling you what to do, but instead, joining you on your journey and guiding you in your discoveries to what solutions or outcome is best suited for you. I offer a judgement and bias free supportive environment to help you reach your best you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Virginia and Colorado. I received my Master of Education with a focus in mental health counseling from Old Dominion University. I also hold a Master of Arts degree from Argosy University in Forensic Psychology. My clinical focus is primarily two evidenced based practices and includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Reality Therapy (RT). However, I fully believe in meeting the client where they are and therefore it is as equally important for me to flexible to your needs.

I have experience working with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, family conflict, parenting issues, and relationship issues. I have worked in a variety of settings to include outpatient, intensive in-home services, therapeutic day treatment in schools, and providing counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. I also have over 3 years of experience providing telehealth services through text-based messaging, phone, or video session.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, going to the beach, trying new restaurants, and traveling. We also enjoy the daily antics of our four-legged children, two cats and two dogs, that we often refer to as our “zoo”.

I look forward to meeting and working with you.
